The mega-corporations on Wall Street now control most of the world's production capacity, and unless their unrestrained greed is regulated they pose a greater threat to freedom and democracy than government regulation. At least Congress is accountable to the people, while the super-rich who control the mega-corporations are only accountable to their shareholders.
